Carmel's Fall Climate Fellow from IU put together a climate webpage that is on the City's website that can be a one-stop shop for all things Climate and sustainability related. It is called Sustainable Carmel. Residents will more easily be able to find climate related information and learn more about what the City is doing and what they can do.
Carmel's Fall Climate Fellow from IU is developed a variety of PDF handouts are posted on our Sustainable Carmel webpage to provide information about climate change and tips for residents on how they can reduce their impact.
The Carmel Climate Action Advisory Committee formed an Education Sub-committee that met with the Marketing and Community Relations Dept. The sub-committee decided to focus on sustainability information and tips to be include in the City's weekly newsletter that goes out through email. The sub-committee developed a new section for the newsletter called Sustainable Carmel and it will highlight a different sustainability topic every month. The Carmel Climate Action Advisory Committee is also working on disseminating this information through other avenues such as Councilor's newsletters, HOA newsletters, social media, and in the Current in Carmel.
