The Committee meets bi-monthly and the next meeting is scheduled for January 27, 2026 at 6:00 pm in the Board Room at the Carmel Clay Public Library.

The Committee has selected 6 Strategies from the Climate Action Plan to prioritize for implementation. They are the following:

EB-1 and EB-2: These were combined into one effort as they go hand in hand.
1. EB-1: Municipal Energy Efficiency Evaluation and Upgrades
2. EB-2: Municipal Energy Benchmarking and Disclosure Program
G-3 and WW-4: These were combined into one effort.
1. WW-4 is a new strategy added to do a water usage assessment for the City.
2. G-3: Native and Drought Resistant Landscaping
SW-3 and SW-4: These strategies were combined into one effort.
1. SW-3: Food Composting Pilot Programs
2. SW-4: Backyard Compost Bin Voucher Program
PE-1: Public Education about Impacts of Climate Change
PE-2: Climate Vulnerability Assessment
T-4: City EV and Hydrogen Fleet Purchasing and Retrofit Policy
